0.5.0.3 - WoWs Aim Assist !





World Of Warships 0.5.0.3 Aim Assist (UPDATED)
Instalation:
 Unzip to your_game_directory/res_mods/0.5.0.3
In game graphic settings mark field "reduce GUI refresh rate".
In game graphic settings set screen proportions to 16:9
Strat/restart your game.

To get lead marker visible go into full zoom mode. Move your rectile at maximum distance and press key "Home".
By "maximum distance" i mean aiming at clear sea as far as you can reach. No obstacles, mountains etc.

When you switch ammo for first time you have to repeat these steps.Zoom - Max distance - key "Home".

To hide marker press key "End". To show again Zoom - Max distance - key "Home".

Transplanted to newest version.
Fixed camo bug.
Fixed Königsberg offset tag.


I was doing my best to put in config correct values for all ships, but I'm sure i made some mistakes there. If you spot something like marker at wrong position (too high or too low) just leave a comment. I'll try to fix it.

Tenryu, Kuma and Colorado. These ships may show marker at wrong position with certain hull upgrades. I know that. Scripts are bugged.

Config instructions:

Use proper text editor while changing aim.xml file. I recomend Notepad++. Make file backup before you start.
Config file is loaded at the begin of every battle. You dont have to restart your game client to load changed aim.xml file.

Marker is too low at all ships?

In graphic settings set screen proportions to 16:9
To use 4:3 aspect ratio change in config:
<zoom>9.6</zoom>
<distancescale>15</distancescale>
For other proportions you have to find these values by trial and error.
First change <zoom> to move marker at proper height, then change <distancescale> to set correct marker length. By increasing zoom value marker moves up.  By increasing distancescale value marker becomes longer.


How to set up my ship, so I dont have to use calibration key in each battle?

1. Open aim.xml file. Find your ship tag. If there are tags <delayHE> and <delayAP> remove it.

Save file.
Remember to delete old values as you wont be able to calculate new ones.

2.Go to training room. Add couple of ships to your team (important). Start battle.

3. Change ammo to HE. In full zoom, move rectile at maximum distance and press calibration key ("Home").

Delay value is showed on allies marker. Next to distance and speed.
Create tag <delayHE>X.XX</delayHE>

Change ammo to AP and repeat previous steps.
Your ship settings should look like this:

Save aim.xml file. Since now lead marker should be visible at the begin of battle without pressing any keys.

How to change keys used to calibration and to hide marker?

Visit http://bensilvis.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/key_codes.swf to find out what is your key code.
Edit tag <calibrationKey> or <toggleKey>
Example:

Meaning of config tags:
<distancescale> use it to scale lenght of marker if necessary.
<speedcoef><kts><zoom> values used for inmod calculations. just forget it.
<frustum> camera pitch setting used to draw marker at certain angle. to be used in future once scout planes become suported.  I cant force myself to play BB.
<angle> value used to predict ship position while in turn. for now not active. angular speed formula was bugged so I removed it.
<calibrationKey> code of calibration key
<toggleKey> code of "hide marker" key
<showDelayTime> time when calibration value is shown on marker. 10--> 3sek.
<offset> set 0 to have marker at water line. increase to get marker higher.
<PASD001> ship code
<nation><type><name> decoration
<PAPA041> name of tag- shell code. value- projectile speed
<off2> value of vertical marker offset for hull with 2 AA guns
